Overview
- Provide clinical supervision to a team of clinicians and deliver direct mental health services to assigned clients.
- Collaborate with leadership to plan and administer mental health services for diverse populations in an OMH program.
- Offer in-service training on regulatory updates and clinical protocols to ensure compliance and quality care.
- Develop and implement innovative clinical services, including supportive counseling, group work, and crisis intervention.
- Conduct and approve clinical documentation, ensuring adherence to state and federal regulations.
- Participate in peer reviews and quality improvement committees to monitor and enhance service delivery.
- Provide crisis intervention and coordinate psychiatric assessments as needed for clients.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and corporate guidelines while handling sensitive patient information.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Supervise clinicians and social work interns, providing individual and weekly guidance and support.
- Manage a caseload of patients, delivering comprehensive assessments, treatment planning, and counseling services.
- Facilitate interdisciplinary treatment planning meetings and case conferences to address patient needs.
- Monitor patient documentation and ensure compliance with managed care service authorizations.
- Provide on-site clinical leadership during evening and weekend hours as needed.
- Participate in advocacy efforts and contribute to quality assurance initiatives.
- Deliver training on evidence-based interventions and clinical documentation practices.
- Maintain program admissions, discharges, and treatment plan tracking for effective service delivery.
Job Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Social Work with LCSW/LCSW-R certification required.
- Minimum of three years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting.
- Proficiency in Spanish and familiarity with OMH/Article 31 regulatory standards preferred.
- Experience with evidence-based interventions in outpatient mental health settings.
- Strong organizational, writing, and public speaking skills are essential.
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and EMR systems required.
- SIFI certification strongly preferred for supervising social work interns.
- Availability for evening and weekend hours as needed.
