Job Description

Overview

  • Provide clinical supervision to a team of clinicians and deliver direct mental health services to assigned clients.
  • Collaborate with leadership to plan and administer mental health services for diverse populations in an OMH program.
  • Offer in-service training on regulatory updates and clinical protocols to ensure compliance and quality care.
  • Develop and implement innovative clinical services, including supportive counseling, group work, and crisis intervention.
  • Conduct and approve clinical documentation, ensuring adherence to state and federal regulations.
  • Participate in peer reviews and quality improvement committees to monitor and enhance service delivery.
  • Provide crisis intervention and coordinate psychiatric assessments as needed for clients.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and corporate guidelines while handling sensitive patient information.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Supervise clinicians and social work interns, providing individual and weekly guidance and support.
  • Manage a caseload of patients, delivering comprehensive assessments, treatment planning, and counseling services.
  • Facilitate interdisciplinary treatment planning meetings and case conferences to address patient needs.
  • Monitor patient documentation and ensure compliance with managed care service authorizations.
  • Provide on-site clinical leadership during evening and weekend hours as needed.
  • Participate in advocacy efforts and contribute to quality assurance initiatives.
  • Deliver training on evidence-based interventions and clinical documentation practices.
  • Maintain program admissions, discharges, and treatment plan tracking for effective service delivery.

Job Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work with LCSW/LCSW-R certification required.
  • Minimum of three years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Proficiency in Spanish and familiarity with OMH/Article 31 regulatory standards preferred.
  • Experience with evidence-based interventions in outpatient mental health settings.
  • Strong organizational, writing, and public speaking skills are essential.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and EMR systems required.
  • SIFI certification strongly preferred for supervising social work interns.
  • Availability for evening and weekend hours as needed.
