- Develop and implement innovative educational programs tailored to pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) needs.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards through effective training strategies.
- Utilize evidence-based practices to design impactful clinical education curriculums.
- Promote professional growth by identifying and addressing staff development priorities.
- Enhance onboarding and orientation processes for new clinical staff members.
- Leverage performance improvement data to inform and refine educational planning.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Coordinate and evaluate clinical education activities to support PICU staff development and patient care excellence.
- Collaborate with leadership to align educational programs with organizational goals and standards.
- Conduct needs assessments to identify and prioritize clinical staff training requirements.
- Develop and deliver engaging educational content using evidence-based methodologies.
- Ensure adherence to the Nursing Practice Act and healthcare policies in all training activities.
- Facilitate workshops and seminars to enhance staff skills and knowledge.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Support staff in achieving professional certifications and advancing their clinical expertise.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; advanced degree preferred.
- Active RN license from the California Board of Registered Nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 12 months of hire.
- Minimum of four years of clinical experience, preferably in pediatric intensive care.
- Proven ability to design, implement, and evaluate clinical education programs.
- Strong knowledge of educational principles and healthcare regulations.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
