Overview

  • Lead fund accounting operations for a prominent financial services firm, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and excellence in client service.
  • Mentor and manage a team of accountants, fostering professional growth and maintaining high performance standards.
  • Collaborate with executive-level clients, auditors, and legal professionals to deliver superior fund administration services.
  • Oversee fund lifecycle processes, including capital calls, distributions, and financial statement preparation.
  • Contribute to process improvements and technical excellence within the organization.
  • Provide strategic guidance on fund setup and deliverables, ensuring thorough review and compliance.
  • Engage in special projects to address complex client needs and enhance service offerings.
  • Utilize advanced technical knowledge to navigate investment agreements and partnership documentation.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Direct daily accounting and fund administration activities for multiple investment sponsors.
  • Prepare and review workpapers, financial statements, and investor allocations with precision.
  • Maintain strong client relationships through frequent executive-level communication.
  • Guide and coach accounting teams, ensuring adherence to performance standards.
  • Oversee fund deliverables setup, including capital calls, distributions, and waterfall models.
  • Ensure compliance with USGAAP reporting standards for investment funds and companies.
  • Manage special projects to address client-specific requirements and improve processes.
  • Collaborate with auditors, legal professionals, and banking personnel to ensure seamless operations.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of fund accounting experience in private equity or financial institutions.
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience, with strong leadership skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of investment reporting and USGAAP standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience with complex waterfall models and partnership agreements.
  • Strong problem-solving, judgment, and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
