Overview

  • Lead and oversee higher education building design projects from concept to completion.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative architectural solutions.
  • Document design work across all phases, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients to build long-term relationships.
  • Contribute to the development of design concepts and project strategies.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Ensure projects meet deadlines and quality standards.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and integrate them into project designs.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Collaborate on higher education projects from concept to construction documentation.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships through effective communication and collaboration.
  • Assist in the creation and refinement of design concepts throughout all project phases.
  • Prioritize and execute multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Apply advanced technical skills in software programs such as Revit and Adobe Suite.
  • Collaborate with in-house teams across multiple office locations.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
  • Provide independent problem-solving and decision-making support.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Architecture (B.Arch.) required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in higher education building design; 15 years preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Revit, and Adobe Suite.
  • Knowledge of Newforma Project Center, Sketchup, and MS Office 365 is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of materials, products, and design processes.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
