Job Description

Overview

  • Work part-time as an Accounting Clerk supporting financial operations and administrative tasks in a professional services environment.
  • Contribute to accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial documentation.
  • Assist in digitizing records and transitioning to a paperless workflow for improved efficiency.
  • Provide administrative support to CFO, Chief Compliance Officer, and Director of Operations.
  • Collaborate with a seasoned team of professionals in a smaller firm setting.
  • Flexible onsite schedule tailored to candidate needs, working 18 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Process invoices and expense reports, ensuring accurate entry into accounting systems.
  • Maintain vendor files and reconcile statements, resolving discrepancies promptly.
  • Digitize and organize historical paper files, including significant scanning tasks.
  • Support quarterly billing cycles and ad hoc financial projects as needed.
  • Assist with implementing document management procedures and process updates.
  • Provide administrative support across accounting, compliance, and operations teams.
  • Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Provide backup front-office support, including scheduling and visitor coordination.
  • Collaborate on initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and transition workflows.

Job Requirements

  • Associate's degree in accounting or related field required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in general accounting support preferred.
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience in financial services or law firm environments is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Self-starter with a positive, collaborative attitude and adaptability.
  • Experience with digital workflows and document scanning preferred.
  • Comfortable working onsite three days per week with a flexible schedule.
