Job Description

Overview

  • Provide clinical mental health services to patients of all ages in a hybrid work environment.
  • Engage in diagnostic assessments, psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and behavior modification.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to address social and emotional factors affecting patient health.
  • Prepare comprehensive evaluations, treatment plans, and detailed patient reports.
  • Educate staff on psychosocial issues and supervise social work interns as required.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and professional standards in social services.
  • Participate in quality assurance programs and departmental meetings.
  • Utilize advanced educational training to deliver high-quality mental health care.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Conduct individual, family, and group counseling sessions tailored to patient needs.
  • Perform diagnostic assessments and develop evidence-based treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  • Document patient services and maintain accurate medical records.
  • Supervise social work interns and provide necessary training and guidance.
  • Educate healthcare staff on psychosocial aspects of patient care.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to quality assurance initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with professional standards and regulatory requirements.

Job Requirements

  • Master's degree in Social Work or Counseling Clinical Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure in New York State as LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, or Psychologist.
  • Strong diagnostic and clinical skills with experience in diverse populations.
  • Ability to supervise interns and attend required supervisor courses.
  • Experience in healthcare settings preferred.
  • Knowledge of compliance standards including Article 28 and JCAHO.
  • Proficiency in Spanish preferred, with additional compensation available.
