Job Description

Overview

  • Serve as a finance business partner to manufacturing leadership, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with global standards.
  • Analyze manufacturing costs, inventory, production variances, and capital investments to support operational efficiency and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with division finance analysts to align financial strategies with broader organizational goals.
  • Play a critical role in month-end close processes, forecasting, and annual operating plans.
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP, SOX, and internal control requirements while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to ERP and EPM system initiatives for enhanced automation and efficiency.
  • Support investment management processes, including project approval, capitalization, and ROI validation.
  • Partner cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, engineering, and corporate finance teams.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare and analyze monthly forecasts, budgets, and standard cost updates in coordination with plant leadership.
  • Lead month-end closing activities, including inventory reconciliation, variance analysis, and production order settlement.
  • Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts related to inventory, GR/IR, and fixed assets.
  • Support calculation and reporting of warranty provisions, inventory reserves, and excess & obsolete inventory.
  • Collaborate with engineering to maintain accurate BOMs, routings, and cost center rates in SAP S/4HANA.
  • Monitor inventory accuracy, cycle counts, and scrap reporting to drive continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate CAPEX requests and spending, ensuring alignment with corporate guidelines.
  • Participate in ERP and EPM system initiatives to streamline processes and enhance reporting accuracy.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in cost accounting; 6 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in SAP S/4HANA and enterprise performance management systems.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP, SOX compliance, and internal control requirements.
  • Experience in financial planning, variance analysis, and inventory management.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and drive process improvements.
  • Capability to manage CAPEX processes and validate ROI for completed projects.
