Overview

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver architectural solutions across diverse sectors, including healthcare, education, residential, and commercial projects.
  • Lead project design and planning efforts, ensuring adherence to client requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Support project management activities, including client meetings, design reviews, and construction administration tasks.
  • Delegate tasks effectively to project technicians and coordinate with external consultants.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Develop comprehensive architectural designs and plans, ensuring compliance with building codes and industry standards.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including external consultants, to achieve project objectives.
  • Prepare and review construction documents using CAD software, including AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Assist in client and design team meetings to address project progress and resolve issues.
  • Conduct construction administration tasks, including site visits and contractor coordination.
  • Ensure projects are completed within established timelines and budgets.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering professional growth.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of New York State building codes and regulations.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
  • Registered Architect in New York State preferred but not mandatory.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience, with 10 years preferred in architectural design and project management.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Project).
  • Strong technical design, construction documentation, and graphic presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of New York State building codes and prior experience with NYS OGS or government agencies preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to lead and motivate teams.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to a hybrid work environment.
