Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Develop comprehensive architectural designs and plans, ensuring compliance with building codes and industry standards.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including external consultants, to achieve project objectives.
- Prepare and review construction documents using CAD software, including AutoCAD and Revit.
- Assist in client and design team meetings to address project progress and resolve issues.
- Conduct construction administration tasks, including site visits and contractor coordination.
- Ensure projects are completed within established timelines and budgets.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering professional growth.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of New York State building codes and regulations.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
- Registered Architect in New York State preferred but not mandatory.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience, with 10 years preferred in architectural design and project management.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Project).
- Strong technical design, construction documentation, and graphic presentation skills.
- Knowledge of New York State building codes and prior experience with NYS OGS or government agencies preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to lead and motivate teams.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to a hybrid work environment.
