- Lead and manage Labor, Delivery, and Postpartum units to ensure exceptional patient care and compliance with healthcare standards.
- Coordinate departmental activities with hospital administration to achieve operational efficiency and program integration.
- Oversee staff performance, ensuring adherence to safety policies and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain responsibility for budgeting, marketing, and coordination of services provided to patients.
- Provide leadership in a dynamic healthcare environment with advanced technologies and private patient rooms.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality maternal and neonatal care.
- Ensure compliance with standards set by regulatory organizations such as TJC, CMS, and AHCA.
- Support a team of 27 FTEs and oversee approximately 1500 births annually.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Direct and evaluate operations of Labor, Delivery, and Postpartum units, ensuring quality care and compliance.
- Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures to meet organizational goals and standards.
- Manage staff performance, providing training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Coordinate patient services and program activities with hospital administration for seamless integration.
- Monitor and manage departmental budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
- Oversee marketing functions to promote departmental services and enhance patient outreach.
- Ensure compliance with safety policies and regulatory requirements, maintaining high standards of care.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional maternal and neonatal care.
Job Requirements
- Current Florida RN license or recognized Compact Licensure, subject to state licensing requirements.
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing with an Associate of Science degree.
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, NRP, STABLE, and Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery management; 3 years preferred.
- Proven ability to manage a team of 27 FTEs and oversee 1500 births annually.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare standards set by TJC, CMS, and AHCA.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills to lead a dynamic team.
- Experience in budgeting, marketing, and coordination of healthcare services.
