Overview

  • Lead clinical operations at a surgery center, ensuring high-quality patient care and compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Supervise preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative nursing staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Manage surgical center operations, including staffing schedules, inventory control, and vendor relationships.
  • Oversee infection control, patient safety, and risk management initiatives to maintain a safe clinical setting.
  • Develop and manage budgets for clinical staffing and supplies, aligning with financial goals.
  • Ensure compliance with CMS, Joint Commission, AAAHC, and state health regulations.
  • Provide leadership in quality improvement and operational efficiency projects.
  • Maintain sterilization standards and oversee inventory control for equipment and drugs.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Supervise preoperative, OR, and PACU nursing staff, ensuring optimal patient care.
  • Ensure compliance with CMS, AAAHC, OSHA, and state health regulations.
  • Oversee infection control, patient safety, and risk management processes.
  • Manage staffing schedules, inventory, and vendor relationships effectively.
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Develop and manage clinical staffing and supply budgets to meet financial targets.
  • Ensure sterilization standards are met and oversee equipment and drug inventory.
  • Provide clinical leadership and mentorship to nursing and perioperative personnel.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree (MSN/MHA) preferred.
  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in surgical settings; 5 years preferred.
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience in clinical operations and nursing management.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills essential for success.
  • Knowledge of CMS, AAAHC, OSHA, and state health regulations.
  • Proficiency in infection control, patient safety, and risk management practices.
  • Experience in budgeting and managing clinical staffing and supply operations.
