Job Description

Overview

  • Contribute to estimating processes for aviation construction projects, ensuring accurate cost assessments and efficient project planning.
  • Collaborate with project teams to analyze specifications, drawings, and requirements for comprehensive cost estimation.
  • Utilize industry-standard software and tools to prepare detailed cost reports and proposals.
  • Support bid preparation and submission processes, ensuring compliance with client and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, material costs, and labor rates relevant to aviation construction.
  • Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions for project optimization.
  • Participate in client meetings to discuss project scope, budget, and estimation methodologies.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of all estimation documentation and records.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for aviation construction projects, including materials, labor, and equipment.
  • Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and contracts to determine project requirements.
  • Collaborate with procurement and engineering teams to gather accurate cost data.
  • Develop and maintain estimation templates and databases for consistent project evaluations.
  • Support project managers in budget planning and financial forecasting activities.
  • Review and validate subcontractor and supplier quotes for accuracy and competitiveness.
  • Provide technical input during project bidding and negotiation phases.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in all estimation practices.

Job Requirements

  • Associate of Science (AS) degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction estimating, with 5 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in estimation software and tools, such as Bluebeam or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of aviation construction standards and practices.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail for accurate cost assessments.
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities to work with diverse project teams.
  • Knowledge of market trends, material costs, and labor rates in the construction industry.
  • Experience with ESOP programs and understanding of their benefits is advantageous.
