Job Description

Overview

  • Lead strategic program management for advanced R&D initiatives, driving innovation and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineering and technical experts, to deliver impactful solutions.
  • Act as a liaison between executive leadership and technical teams, translating strategic objectives into actionable plans.
  • Oversee program lifecycle from concept to deployment, maintaining focus on quality and timelines.
  • Identify risks and opportunities, implementing proactive strategies to ensure program success.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive program reviews and status reports to stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards, security protocols, and compliance requirements throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation within the program management framework.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manage end-to-end program delivery, defining scope, timelines, budgets, and deliverables for high-impact R&D projects.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration across diverse stakeholders to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Monitor progress and resolve technical and operational challenges in collaboration with engineering leads.
  • Ensure seamless integration across hardware and software domains, supporting system architecture and development planning.
  • Implement risk management strategies and maintain compliance documentation to support program integrity.
  • Deliver updates and insights to executive leadership, investors, and external partners, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Prepare dashboards and detailed reports for program reviews and stakeholder presentations.
  • Interface with customers to manage expectations, address concerns, and ensure satisfaction with program outcomes.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of program management experience in R&D, defense, or technology-focused environments.
  • Proven expertise in managing cross-functional hardware/software programs with complex technical requirements.
  • Strong understanding of embedded systems, firmware development, and electrical engineering workflows.
  • Familiarity with industry compliance standards and security protocols, including ITAR and DoD regulations.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills to drive program success.
  • Preferred certifications include PMP, Agile, or equivalent program management credentials.
  • Experience in high-growth or startup environments is advantageous.
