Accounting Services Senior Accountant

Overview

• Support tax compliance, financial reporting, and accounting functions in a client-focused environment.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure accurate financial records and timely tax filings.
• Maintain adherence to regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
• Prepare individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns across federal, state, and local levels.
• Assist with tax planning and compliance strategies to optimize financial outcomes.
• Prepare financial statements and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Support audit preparation and address auditor inquiries effectively.
• Utilize accounting software and tax preparation systems efficiently.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships.
• Develop and implement tax planning strategies to ensure compliance and efficiency.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts for accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for clients.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including cash reconciliations.
• Stay updated on tax laws, regulations, and accounting standards to ensure compliance.
• Communicate with clients regarding financial and tax-related matters.
• Support audit preparation and respond to auditor requests.
• Utilize accounting software and systems to streamline processes.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in accounting or tax services.
• Proficiency in accounting software and tax preparation systems.
• Strong knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and accounting standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills for client interactions and team collaboration.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Preferred candidates will have 10 years of experience in accounting or tax services.
