Overview
- Provide skilled nursing care and support to patients in a healthcare setting.
- Work on-site during the 7 AM to 3 PM shift with rotating weekends.
- Ensure patient safety and satisfaction through high-quality care delivery.
- Collaborate with Registered Nurses and Clinical Care Managers for patient management.
- Perform charge nurse responsibilities as assigned by supervisors.
- Commit to a minimum of three shifts per week with weekend rotations.
- Utilize your expertise in geriatric care to enhance patient outcomes.
- Contribute to a collaborative and professional healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Monitor patient conditions and report changes to the healthcare team.
- Document patient care activities and maintain accurate medical records.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families.
- Assist in the development and implementation of patient care plans.
- Supervise and guide nursing assistants in their daily tasks.
- Perform IV therapy and other specialized nursing procedures.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards.
Job Requirements
- Valid NYS LPN license and certification in BCLS and IV therapy.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with geriatric patients.
- Graduate of an approved program in practical nursing.
- Ability to commit to rotating weekend shifts and a minimum of three shifts weekly.
- Strong communication and organizational skills for effective patient care.
- Proficiency in administering medications and performing specialized procedures.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and patient safety standards.
