Overview
- Provide medical and administrative support under the supervision of the Nurse Manager in a dynamic clinical environment.
- Assist medical providers in patient care, ensuring efficient and accurate clinical operations.
- Maintain and organize medical equipment and supplies to ensure readiness for patient care.
- Adapt to schedule changes, including late clinic hours and Saturday shifts as required.
- Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) systems for documentation and patient management.
- Perform phlebotomy procedures and maintain universal precautions in clinical activities.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care and support.
- Ensure effective communication and professionalism in interactions with patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Prepare patient summary sheets and charts for daily clinic operations.
- Check and restock exam rooms, ensuring cleanliness and readiness for patient encounters.
- Escort patients from the lobby to exam rooms and obtain their chief complaints.
- Measure and document vital signs in the EMR system as per provider preferences.
- Assist in patient care tasks under the direction of medical providers or the Nurse Manager.
- Perform phlebotomy procedures and ensure adherence to universal precautions.
- Support clinical activities by maintaining and organizing medical equipment and supplies.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure smooth clinic operations and patient satisfaction.
Job Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant certification mandatory.
- Minimum of one year of healthcare experience preferred; bilingual candidates are advantageous.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and computer literacy essential.
- Strong clinical skills and ability to adapt to schedule changes effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor required.
