Overview
- Provide medical and administrative support under the direction of the Nurse Manager in a dynamic clinical environment.
- Assist medical providers with patient care, including obtaining vital signs and documenting in electronic medical records.
- Prepare patient summary sheets and charts to ensure smooth daily clinic operations.
- Maintain exam rooms by restocking supplies, cleaning, and ensuring readiness for patient encounters.
- Perform phlebotomy and other clinical tasks as needed, adhering to universal precautions.
- Support late clinic schedules and Saturday clinics as required, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Utilize strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Organize and prepare patient charts and summary sheets for daily clinic operations.
- Escort patients from the lobby to exam rooms, ensuring a welcoming environment.
- Obtain and document patient vital signs and chief complaints accurately in electronic records.
- Assist medical providers with patient care tasks, including phlebotomy and clinical procedures.
- Maintain exam rooms by cleaning, restocking, and ensuring readiness for patient encounters.
- Adhere to universal precautions and maintain a safe clinical environment.
- Support evolving clinic schedules, including late and Saturday clinics, with flexibility.
- Collaborate with the Nurse Manager and clinical team to enhance patient care quality.
Job Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant certification mandatory.
- Minimum of 1 year of healthcare experience preferred; bilingual skills advantageous.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records systems, specifically Eclinical Works.
- Strong clinical skills with adaptability to various medical procedures and environments.
- Excellent communication skills, ensuring clear and effective patient interactions.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including late clinics and Saturdays.
