Overview
- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop innovative product designs from concept to production release.
- Assist in software development for embedded Linux systems and microcontrollers in engineering and testing environments.
- Support electrical engineering efforts by debugging and troubleshooting electronic hardware and embedded software systems.
- Contribute to the full product lifecycle, including design, prototype validation, and manufacturing transition.
- Utilize project management and source control tools to track software tasks and updates.
- Participate in design reviews, testing activities, and continuous product improvement initiatives.
- Engage in additional duties and support tasks as assigned within the engineering team.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Develop and maintain embedded software for Linux systems and microcontrollers.
- Debug and troubleshoot electronic hardware and embedded software systems.
- Collaborate on product lifecycle stages, including design, validation, and manufacturing transition.
- Utilize industry-standard tools for software task tracking and defect management.
- Participate in design reviews and testing activities to ensure product quality.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for product development.
- Support customer testing, integration, and design reviews as needed.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.
- 1–3 years of experience in embedded software or electrical engineering environments.
- Proficiency in C/C++ programming for embedded systems.
- Familiarity with GIT or other version control systems.
- Understanding of embedded systems concepts and Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS).
- Exposure to communication interfaces such as I2C, SPI, and UART.
- Experience with hardware debugging tools and techniques, including schematics and oscilloscopes.
- Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for customer testing and integration.
