Job Description

Overview

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to develop innovative product designs from concept to production release.
  • Assist in software development for embedded Linux systems and microcontrollers in engineering and testing environments.
  • Support electrical engineering efforts by debugging and troubleshooting electronic hardware and embedded software systems.
  • Contribute to the full product lifecycle, including design, prototype validation, and manufacturing transition.
  • Utilize project management and source control tools to track software tasks and updates.
  • Participate in design reviews, testing activities, and continuous product improvement initiatives.
  • Engage in additional duties and support tasks as assigned within the engineering team.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Develop and maintain embedded software for Linux systems and microcontrollers.
  • Debug and troubleshoot electronic hardware and embedded software systems.
  • Collaborate on product lifecycle stages, including design, validation, and manufacturing transition.
  • Utilize industry-standard tools for software task tracking and defect management.
  • Participate in design reviews and testing activities to ensure product quality.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for product development.
  • Support customer testing, integration, and design reviews as needed.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in embedded software or electrical engineering environments.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ programming for embedded systems.
  • Familiarity with GIT or other version control systems.
  • Understanding of embedded systems concepts and Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS).
  • Exposure to communication interfaces such as I2C, SPI, and UART.
  • Experience with hardware debugging tools and techniques, including schematics and oscilloscopes.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for customer testing and integration.
