Job Description

Overview

  • Provide clinical mental health services to patients and families in a hybrid work setting.
  • Conduct diagnostic assessments, psychotherapy, and crisis interventions to support patient mental health.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to address social and emotional factors affecting health outcomes.
  • Prepare comprehensive evaluations, treatment plans, and reports for patient care.
  • Supervise social work interns and educate staff on psychosocial patient care issues.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and professional standards in mental health services.
  • Participate in quality assurance programs and departmental meetings to enhance service delivery.
  • Utilize advanced educational training to deliver professional mental health care services.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Provide individual, family, and group counseling tailored to patient needs.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop integrated treatment plans.
  • Conduct short and long-term therapy sessions with defined goals and objectives.
  • Document patient services and maintain accurate medical records.
  • Identify child welfare concerns and coordinate reporting procedures with appropriate authorities.
  • Educate staff on psychosocial issues impacting patient care and outcomes.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to quality assurance initiatives.
  • Supervise interns and support their professional development through training courses.

Job Requirements

  • Master of Social Work degree from an accredited university.
  • Licensure in New York State as LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, or Clinical Psychologist.
  • Strong diagnostic and clinical skills with experience in diverse populations.
  • Ability to supervise interns and attend required supervisor courses.
  • Experience with healthcare settings and regulatory compliance preferred.
  • Proficiency in Spanish is advantageous and offers additional compensation.
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed.
