Overview

  • Lead and oversee maternal child health services in a high-acuity healthcare environment.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care and satisfaction.
  • Provide strategic direction for nursing operations within the maternal child health department.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies.
  • Manage resources effectively to achieve fiscal responsibility and operational efficiency.

  • Contribute to the hospital's mission and vision through leadership and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance maternal child health services.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient care outcomes to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other departments to address patient and family needs.
  • Ensure adherence to clinical protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage departmental budgets and allocate resources effectively.
  • Lead initiatives for staff training, development, and performance improvement.
  • Maintain a safe and supportive environment for patients and staff.
  • Participate in hospital-wide committees and initiatives to advance healthcare services.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Active RN license in the state of practice or compact license.
  • Minimum of 3 years of recent management experience in a large hospital.
  • Preferred 5 years of experience in women’s services in high-acuity settings.
  • Experience managing departments with over 3500 births annually.
  • Certification in a relevant specialty is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to maintain BCLS certification as required.
