Overview

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Develop and manage comprehensive financial reporting systems tailored to insurance and reinsurance operations.
• Prepare detailed quarterly financial statements and performance analyses for stakeholders and executive leadership.
• Oversee management fee calculations, expense accruals, and budgeting processes to ensure financial accuracy.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain effective financial controls and reporting standards.
• Research and implement strategies to optimize accounting methodologies and streamline reporting workflows.
• Manage relationships with external partners, including outsourced accounting providers, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Support leadership in fostering a culture of excellence and innovation within the finance department.
• Lead initiatives to enhance financial infrastructure, ensuring scalability and adaptability to future challenges.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance accounting or equivalent roles.
• Preferred 15 years of experience in investment accounting or financial planning.
• CPA certification is strongly preferred for this position.
• Proficiency in STAT, GAAP, and EBS accounting methodologies is essential.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop finance teams effectively.
• Strong analytical skills and capacity to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
