Overview
- Serve as a Senior Accountant within a dynamic accounting team, contributing to financial reporting and analysis.

Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes with accuracy and efficiency.
- Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger integrity.
- Conduct variance and trend analyses to ensure financial accuracy.
- Oversee sales and use tax filings and regulatory compliance reporting.
- Reconcile purchase card expense management systems and union liability accounts.
- Support revenue recognition and Work-in-Progress reporting using percentage-of-completion methodologies.
- Assist project teams with accounting support and insurance-related analysis.
- Provide documentation and schedules for external audits.
- Contribute to the enhancement of accounting processes and controls.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience; construction industry experience preferred.
- Proficiency in GAAP/IFRS standards and financial statement preparation.
- Experience with revenue recognition principles and percentage-of-completion methodologies.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in accounting systems, preferably JD Edwards, and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to manage deadlines and handle confidential information effectively.
- Willingness to work extended hours to meet reporting deadlines.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently while collaborating with a team.
