Overview

- Positioned on a partner track, contributing to strategic leadership and co-heading the tax department.
- Engage in thought leadership initiatives, technology advancements, and staff development programs.
- Collaborate with clients on tax planning, compliance, and advocacy services tailored to their needs.
- Supervise and mentor staff to enhance their professional growth and support departmental objectives.

- Contribute to the firm’s growth by expanding client services and developing new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Manage the tax department, ensuring compliance with regulations and delivering exceptional client service.
- Prepare and review individual income tax returns for high-net-worth individuals and families.
- Oversee gift tax returns and coordinate estate and wealth-transfer planning strategies.
- Advise closely held businesses on tax compliance and planning, including pass-through entities.
- Sign off on high-level compliance reviews and tax returns, ensuring accuracy and adherence to standards.
- Develop proposals and foster relationships with prospective and existing clients.
- Supervise engagements and special projects, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
- Train, evaluate, and mentor staff, promoting their professional development and growth.
- Stay updated on tax issues and business trends impacting clients, providing informed advice.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; Master's preferred.
- CPA certification with 10+ years of tax experience in public accounting.
- 5+ years of supervisory experience, mentoring and counseling associates.
- Expertise in individual income taxation, gift tax returns, and closely held business taxation.
- Strong client-facing experience with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in managing tax engagements and monitoring deliverable timelines.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative, and detail-oriented environment.
