Job Description

Overview

  • Oversee residential program operations, ensuring compliance with regulations and delivering high-quality services to residents.
  • Supervise and mentor staff, fostering professional growth and effective team collaboration.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize service delivery and program outcomes.
  • Develop and implement administrative systems for new residential facilities, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Conduct investigations and resolve personnel and program participant-related issues efficiently.
  • Ensure staff training in mandated areas, including behavior management and interdisciplinary processes.
  • Interpret and enforce organizational policies and safety regulations within the assigned region.
  • Provide managerial oversight during vacancies or absences of regular management staff.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Supervise non-nursing clinical and consultant team members, ensuring adherence to policies and regulations.
  • Coordinate services for individuals under the Home and Community-Based Services Waiver.
  • Provide training and support in management systems, SCIP techniques, and documentation processes.
  • Motivate staff to achieve program goals and maintain high-quality service delivery standards.
  • Ensure effective coordination of medical, clinical, and consultant staff within assigned facilities.
  • Perform Treatment Coordinator responsibilities and supervise related activities.
  • Assist in the development of new residential facilities, including physical plant and administrative systems.
  • Conduct investigations into personnel and program participant-related issues, ensuring resolution.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related health service field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum two years of management/supervisory experience in a residential group home setting.
  • Knowledge of OPWDD regulations and ability to perform QIDP duties effectively.
  • Valid Tri-State or New York State driver’s license in good standing.
  • Proven ability to make independent decisions and manage stressful situations effectively.
  • Experience in developing residential facilities and implementing administrative systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact tactfully with personnel, residents, and external parties.
  • Commitment to ongoing staff training and development in mandated areas.
