Overview

- Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of 70 RNs and support staff.
- Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and patient safety protocols.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align emergency services with organizational goals.
- Support recruitment, retention, and professional development of nursing staff.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in emergency care delivery.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Oversee daily operations of the emergency department, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance patient care quality.
- Monitor and manage departmental budgets, resources, and financial performance.
- Lead performance-improvement initiatives based on data analysis and clinical outcomes.
- Collaborate with physicians and advanced practice providers to optimize care coordination.
- Ensure staff adherence to clinical standards and patient safety protocols.
- Provide regular training and development opportunities for nursing staff.
- Drive patient satisfaction and engagement through effective communication and care delivery strategies.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
- Current Alabama RN license or eligibility for licensure.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in emergency nursing services.
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and foster collaboration.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data and drive performance improvements.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required or obtainable within a defined timeframe.
- Experience in budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation.
