Job Description
Overview
- Support legal transactions by drafting and distributing commercial real estate closing documents for acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financings.
- Collaborate with attorneys to ensure compliance and accuracy in legal documentation and processes.
- Maintain a digital database of closing files, tracking and filing new documents regularly.
- Coordinate the procurement of lien releases following the release of mortgage debt.
- Prepare and deliver corporate documents, including formation documents and operating agreements.
- Assist in drafting asset management documents such as default notices and landlord consents.
- Perform word processing tasks, including PDF conversion and document redlining.
- Notarize documents and manage administrative tasks like mailing and invoice reconciliation.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Draft and distribute legal documents for commercial real estate transactions in North America and Europe.
- Prepare deal checklists and monitor the status of deliverables.
- Coordinate the delivery of signature page packets and assemble final executed documents.
- Manage digital databases by tracking and filing new documents regularly.
- Handle the procurement of lien releases following mortgage debt releases.
- Draft asset management documents, including landlord and lender consents.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as mailing and invoice reconciliation.
- Provide word processing support, including document redlining and PDF conversion.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience drafting commercial real estate closing documents.
- Proficiency in preparing and delivering corporate documents such as operating agreements and written consents.
- Strong project management skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Notary public certification preferred, or willingness to obtain certification.
- Self-motivated and structured, with the ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
