Job Description

Overview

  • Support legal transactions by drafting and distributing commercial real estate closing documents for acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financings.
  • Collaborate with attorneys to ensure compliance and accuracy in legal documentation and processes.
  • Maintain a digital database of closing files, tracking and filing new documents regularly.
  • Coordinate the procurement of lien releases following the release of mortgage debt.
  • Prepare and deliver corporate documents, including formation documents and operating agreements.
  • Assist in drafting asset management documents such as default notices and landlord consents.
  • Perform word processing tasks, including PDF conversion and document redlining.
  • Notarize documents and manage administrative tasks like mailing and invoice reconciliation.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Draft and distribute legal documents for commercial real estate transactions in North America and Europe.
  • Prepare deal checklists and monitor the status of deliverables.
  • Coordinate the delivery of signature page packets and assemble final executed documents.
  • Manage digital databases by tracking and filing new documents regularly.
  • Handle the procurement of lien releases following mortgage debt releases.
  • Draft asset management documents, including landlord and lender consents.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as mailing and invoice reconciliation.
  • Provide word processing support, including document redlining and PDF conversion.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience drafting commercial real estate closing documents.
  • Proficiency in preparing and delivering corporate documents such as operating agreements and written consents.
  • Strong project management skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Notary public certification preferred, or willingness to obtain certification.
  • Self-motivated and structured, with the ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
  • Unquestioned integrity and problem-solving abilities.
