Job Description

Overview

  • Lead master planning and site planning efforts for diverse mixed-use and neighborhood development projects.
  • Collaborate with developer clients to design dynamic, thoughtfully planned communities.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams including architects, landscape architects, and engineers.
  • Contribute to placemaking initiatives that enhance connectivity and community engagement.
  • Utilize expertise in urban design and traditional neighborhood development principles.
  • Prepare high-quality graphics, presentations, and planning documents for stakeholders.
  • Engage in multi-day design charrettes to develop innovative planning concepts.
  • Apply creative solutions to address market-responsive design challenges.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Lead site and master planning efforts for diverse scales of urban development projects.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to deliver innovative design solutions.
  • Participate in design charrettes, translating ideas into actionable planning concepts.
  • Develop high-quality visual materials for client presentations and stakeholder engagement.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive project execution.
  • Support project management tasks including timelines, deliverables, and client communication.
  • Apply principles of placemaking and urban design to create functional environments.
  • Ensure designs align with traditional neighborhood development principles.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field required.
  • Minimum of 9 years of experience in urban planning or related roles.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong understanding of urban design, placemaking, and neighborhood development principles.
  • Excellent freehand sketching and visual communication skills.
  • Experience with town center planning and mixed-use master planning preferred.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively across teams.
  • Familiarity with Revit and ArcGIS is a plus.
