Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Administer IV, IM, and SubQ medications, ensuring adherence to protocols and patient safety standards.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and obtain vital signs prior to initiating therapy.
- Prepare and manage infusion supplies and medications, maintaining strict safety and quality standards.
- Monitor patients closely during treatments, addressing adverse reactions promptly and effectively.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of treatments and patient responses in EMR systems.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare providers and team members regarding patient care plans and progress.
- Support a high-quality, patient-centered care environment, fostering trust and comfort for patients.
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland or eligibility for licensure.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution preferred.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of clinical nursing experience, ideally in infusion therapy.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS certification preferred.
- Proficiency in IV insertion and medication administration, with strong technical skills.
- Experience with EMR systems and accurate clinical documentation practices.
- Ability to work independently and manage patient care in a solo-nurse setting.
- Commitment to maintaining HIPAA standards and patient confidentiality.
