Overview

  • Provide specialized infusion care in a patient-centered outpatient environment, ensuring optimal treatment outcomes and exceptional patient satisfaction.
  • Administer advanced biologic therapies with precision, adhering to established protocols and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to deliver seamless and compassionate patient care experiences.
  • Monitor patients during and after treatments, addressing any reactions promptly and effectively.
  • Document patient treatments and responses accurately using state-of-the-art EMR systems.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Administer IV, IM, and SubQ medications, ensuring adherence to protocols and patient safety standards.
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and obtain vital signs prior to initiating therapy.
  • Prepare and manage infusion supplies and medications, maintaining strict safety and quality standards.
  • Monitor patients closely during treatments, addressing adverse reactions promptly and effectively.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of treatments and patient responses in EMR systems.
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare providers and team members regarding patient care plans and progress.
  • Support a high-quality, patient-centered care environment, fostering trust and comfort for patients.

Job Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland or eligibility for licensure.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution preferred.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of clinical nursing experience, ideally in infusion therapy.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS certification preferred.
  • Proficiency in IV insertion and medication administration, with strong technical skills.
  • Experience with EMR systems and accurate clinical documentation practices.
  • Ability to work independently and manage patient care in a solo-nurse setting.
  • Commitment to maintaining HIPAA standards and patient confidentiality.
