Overview

Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Administer IV, IM, and SubQ medications with precision, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and patient care standards.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs and pre-medication evaluations.
- Monitor patients during infusion therapy, responding effectively to adverse reactions or complications.
- Prepare and organize medications and supplies to streamline infusion sessions and ensure efficiency.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of treatments and patient responses in the EMR system.
- Communicate patient progress and concerns with healthcare providers and team members to ensure coordinated care.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and uphold patient confidentiality standards at all times.
- Provide clinical insights and support to enhance the quality and effectiveness of care delivery.
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing, eligible for Maryland licensure.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of clinical nursing experience, ideally in infusion therapy or acute care settings.
- Current BLS certification required; ACLS certification is preferred.
- Proficiency in IV insertion, medication administration, and electronic medical record documentation.
- Ability to work independently and manage patient care in a solo-nurse environment.
- Strong critical thinking, organizational, and time management skills to ensure effective care delivery.
- Physical capability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods during shifts.
