Overview
- Support the accounting function by ensuring accurate financial reporting and general ledger maintenance in a hybrid work environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain financial data integrity and compliance with internal controls and policies.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Prepare and distribute financial reports, providing insights and explanations for variances.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries.
- Contribute to special projects and initiatives aimed at improving accounting practices and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Review and audit general ledger accounts for accuracy and proper classification.
- Assist with journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close processes.
- Prepare financial reports and provide variance analysis to management.
- Monitor financial activity, identify inconsistencies, and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain documentation for accounting transactions and ensure compliance with policies.
- Support audits by preparing requested documentation and addressing inquiries.
- Collaborate with teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and data integrity.
- Participate in special projects and initiatives to enhance accounting practices.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- 1–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in construction or public accounting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software like Blackline and Microsoft Dynamics.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Exceptional accuracy, attention to detail, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Experience with Smartsheet software is a plus.
- Strong written, verbal, and quantitative communication skills.
