Overview
- Support the firm's trade operations infrastructure and daily processes, ensuring accurate capture, confirmation, and monitoring of trading activities.
- Collaborate across Investments, Risk Operations, Finance, and Technology teams to enhance operational workflows and infrastructure.
- Contribute to the design and development of improvements to the portfolio management system and related workflows.
- Engage in trade lifecycle management across listed and OTC products, ensuring operational excellence and accuracy.
- Expand responsibilities over time, contributing broadly across the team and organization.
- Work in a hybrid environment, combining on-site and remote collaboration opportunities.
- Leverage advanced Excel skills and familiarity with Bloomberg to support operational processes.
- Participate in process improvements, automation initiatives, and system enhancements.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Input and validate listed and OTC trades within the Portfolio Management System (Orchestrade).
- Process post-trade workflows for OTC and listed securities, ensuring accurate downstream trade and position flows.
- Review, reconcile, and confirm OTC derivative transactions with counterparties, custodians, and prime brokers.
- Perform position and PnL reconciliations across internal and external systems.
- Monitor and process all trade lifecycle events, including daily pricing and valuation processes.
- Investigate and resolve complex pricing issues, analyzing curves, volatility surfaces, and market data flows.
- Assist with onboarding new brokers, trading platforms, counterparties, and operational systems.
- Partner with Technology and Operations teams on automation initiatives and system enhancements.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree with 5–10 years of relevant experience in trade operations or middle office roles.
- Strong understanding of OTC derivatives products, including interest rate swaps and equity-linked swaps.
- Experience with portfolio management systems, preferably Orchestrade, and familiarity with Geneva or Arcesium.
- Intermediate understanding of OTC valuation concepts, including curves, volatility surfaces, and hazard rates.
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with Bloomberg, with comfort working across multiple operational systems.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment with high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities, with a solutions-driven and process-oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage with diverse stakeholders effectively.
