Overview

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Operate mammographic equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images, ensuring precision and reliability.
  • Adhere to strict infection control and radiation safety protocols to protect patients and staff.
  • Perform equipment maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure operational readiness and efficiency.
  • Assess patient readiness for procedures, reviewing medical history and providing preparatory guidance.
  • Educate patients about imaging processes, addressing concerns and fostering a supportive experience.
  • Utilize Radiology Information Systems (RIS) for accurate documentation and workflow management.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, contributing insights to drive continuous improvement.
  • Assist with ancillary tasks, including patient transport and inventory management, to support team operations.

Job Requirements

  • Associate of Science (AS) degree and completion of an accredited ARRT program.
  • Current ARRT certification with advanced mammography certification preferred.
  • One year of experience in mammography or radiographic procedures is preferred.
  • Proficiency in performing quality radiographic procedures independently and collaboratively.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with Radiology Information Systems (RIS).
  • Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and perform required tasks.
  • Strong communication skills for effective patient education and team collaboration.
  • Commitment to maintaining safety standards and adhering to federal imaging guidelines.
