Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Operate mammographic equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images, ensuring precision and reliability.
- Adhere to strict infection control and radiation safety protocols to protect patients and staff.
- Perform equipment maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure operational readiness and efficiency.
- Assess patient readiness for procedures, reviewing medical history and providing preparatory guidance.
- Educate patients about imaging processes, addressing concerns and fostering a supportive experience.
- Utilize Radiology Information Systems (RIS) for accurate documentation and workflow management.
- Participate in departmental meetings, contributing insights to drive continuous improvement.
- Assist with ancillary tasks, including patient transport and inventory management, to support team operations.
Job Requirements
- Associate of Science (AS) degree and completion of an accredited ARRT program.
- Current ARRT certification with advanced mammography certification preferred.
- One year of experience in mammography or radiographic procedures is preferred.
- Proficiency in performing quality radiographic procedures independently and collaboratively.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with Radiology Information Systems (RIS).
- Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and perform required tasks.
- Strong communication skills for effective patient education and team collaboration.
- Commitment to maintaining safety standards and adhering to federal imaging guidelines.
