Azure Data Engineer

Overview

• Develop scalable data solutions and pipelines using Azure and Databricks technologies.
• Collaborate across corporate functions to define data requirements and deliver integrated solutions.
• Focus on enabling analytics and reporting through robust data architectures.
• Contribute to the evolution of enterprise data platforms and recommend improvements.
• Ensure data quality, governance, and security standards are met across solutions.
• Operate in a hybrid work environment with on-site presence required three days a week.
• Work effectively across teams to deliver shared data platforms and pipelines.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure and Databricks.
• Develop and optimize ETL and ELT workflows for structured and unstructured data.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to define data requirements.
• Implement data models and architectures to support analytics and reporting.
• Integrate enterprise systems into centralized data platforms.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows to ensure reliability and performance.
• Contribute to enterprise data platform improvements using emerging technologies.
• Ensure compliance with data quality, governance, and security standards.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a relevant field.
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related field.
• Strong expertise in Azure cloud services and Databricks technologies.
• Proficiency in Python or Scala for data engineering workloads.
• Experience with Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory, and performance optimization.
• Knowledge of C# and PowerShell for automation and integration tasks.
• Familiarity with API integration and event-driven systems.
• Preferred certifications in Microsoft or Databricks technologies.
