Overview
- Lead the administration of multiple surgery centers, ensuring operational excellence and quality patient care delivery.
- Drive strategic initiatives to enhance efficiency, compliance, and organizational growth across centers.
- Collaborate with clinical and corporate teams to align operational goals and strategic priorities.
- Oversee financial performance, including budgeting, P&L management, and operational analysis.
- Develop and implement strategies for opening new centers and expanding services.
- Foster relationships with physician partners and stakeholders to enhance collaboration and support organizational objectives.
- Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and regulatory requirements, promoting continuous improvement.
- Maintain a flexible schedule with frequent travel to ensure consistent leadership presence.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Serve as the administrative leader for multiple surgery centers, ensuring operational readiness and excellence.
- Design and manage schedules to maintain consistent leadership presence at each center.
- Collaborate with Directors of Nursing to support clinical teams and align operational priorities.
- Prepare and present materials for governing board meetings as the administrative liaison.
- Monitor financial metrics, identify improvement opportunities, and present updates to leadership.
- Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and regulatory requirements, leading survey readiness.
- Foster relationships with physician partners, addressing concerns and promoting collaboration.
- Implement consistent policies and procedures across sites to ensure quality and efficiency.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience as a surgery center administrator or equivalent leadership role.
- Proven ability to manage multiple sites or business units effectively.
- Strong financial acumen, including P&L management and operational analysis.
- Associate degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- Registered Nurse (RN) background is highly preferred.
- Experience with orthopedic, total joint, GI/endoscopy, or multispecialty surgery center service lines.
- Familiarity with AAAHC or Joint Commission accreditation processes.
- Comfortable with significant local travel and managing a fluid schedule.
