Overview

  • Contribute to financial planning and analysis for a leading energy firm, focusing on operational efficiency and strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with industry standards.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to optimize resource allocation and financial performance.
  • Assist in preparing operational and KPI reports for internal stakeholders and management review.
  • Engage in ad hoc financial analyses to provide insights into project-level performance and operational strategies.
  • Utilize advanced tools like Excel and ERP systems to streamline financial processes and reporting.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Perform reconciliation and variance analysis for monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting closes.
  • Assist Finance and Investor Relations teams with responses to due diligence requests and stakeholder inquiries.
  • Prepare and distribute operational and KPI reports, including financial dashboards and business review materials.
  • Support annual budgeting, reforecasting, and expenditure tracking in collaboration with various departments.
  • Coordinate vendor payments and prioritize based on operational needs and urgency.
  • Develop variance bridges and financial commentary to analyze project-level performance.
  • Assist in coding purchase orders and ensuring accurate financial treatment in collaboration with Accounting.
  • Utilize advanced Excel functionalities and ERP systems for efficient financial management.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 0–2 years of experience in Accounting, Corporate Finance, or FP&A; recent graduates are welcome.
  • Proficiency in Excel; experience with Power Query, Power Pivot, and Power BI is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, particularly Oracle, is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Strong ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exposure to the energy, oil & gas industry is beneficial.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills to interact with stakeholders effectively.
