Job Description
Overview
- Lead and coordinate MEP field operations from preconstruction to project turnover.
- Manage mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection subcontractors onsite.
- Drive project milestones related to commissioning, equipment startup, and system integration.
- Collaborate with project management, owners, engineers, and trade partners.
- Ensure compliance with contract documents and project specifications.
- Conduct coordination meetings focused on MEP sequencing and constructability.
- Monitor safety performance and enforce site safety standards.
- Support commissioning activities and turnover documentation.
- Maintain proactive communication with all project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Coordinate MEP field operations and ensure project milestones are achieved.
- Oversee subcontractors and ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Drive commissioning and system integration processes effectively.
- Conduct regular meetings to address MEP sequencing and constructability.
- Monitor and enforce safety standards on-site.
- Assist with scheduling, planning, and resolving field conflicts.
- Support turnover documentation and commissioning activities.
- Maintain effective communication with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure quality control and adherence to contract documents.
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required; advanced education preferred.
- 5+ years of experience as an MEP Superintendent or similar role.
- Experience with data center, healthcare, industrial, or large commercial projects preferred.
- Strong understanding of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
- Proficiency with construction technology platforms like Procore or Bluebeam preferred.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications effectively.
- Experience managing subcontractors and fast-paced schedules.
- Knowledge of commissioning and startup processes is essential.
