Job Description

Overview

  • Lead financial operations and reporting for a dynamic organization, ensuring compliance and accuracy in all accounting processes.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop budgets, forecasts, and strategic financial plans.
  • Oversee internal controls, financial policies, and procedures to maintain operational integrity.
  • Manage and mentor a team of finance and accounting professionals.
  • Coordinate year-end audits and tax preparation with external accountants.
  • Ensure accurate inventory accounting and reconciliation for multiple business segments.
  • Prepare and present financial statements and analyses to stakeholders.
  • Support treasury management activities, including payment processing and fraud prevention.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Lead financial month-end closing processes, including account reconciliation and resolution.
  • Prepare and distribute financial statements, ensuring compliance with standards.
  • Oversee tax filings and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate and manage annual audits and tax provision processes.
  • Develop and monitor budgets and forecasts for business segments.
  • Provide financial analyses to stakeholders to support decision-making.
  • Ensure effective inventory accounting and control across multiple locations.
  • Supervise and develop finance and brokerage administration staff.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in accounting or financial management; 8 years preferred.
  • Proven expertise in financial statement preparation, audits, and tax provision processes.
  • Strong knowledge of internal controls and financial policies.
  • Experience with inventory accounting and reconciliation.
  • Proficiency in accounting systems and report writing.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to present financial analyses and results to stakeholders effectively.
