Overview
- Support estate planning and administration tasks, including drafting legal documents and coordinating client communications.
- Collaborate with attorneys to prepare and review tax returns and estate-related filings.
- Maintain organized records for estate planning and administration processes.
- Utilize valuation software to assess marketable securities and property appraisals.
- Assist in court filings and probate procedures, ensuring compliance with deadlines.
- Prepare judicial accountings and support litigated matters as needed.
- Hybrid work arrangement with remote flexibility on Fridays.

Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Draft wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and medical directives for attorney review.
- Coordinate updates to beneficiary designations and estate planning documents.
- Prepare federal and state tax returns, including Form 706 and Form 709.
- Organize and maintain paper and electronic estate files for efficient access.
- Monitor estate deadlines and facilitate probate and administration processes.
- Collaborate with clients to gather required information for estate filings.
- Assist in the funding of trusts and transfer of assets to beneficiaries.
- Support attorneys in litigated matters by preparing petitions and court papers.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree required; legal or paralegal certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in estate planning and administration; 7 years preferred.
- Proficiency in valuation software such as EstateVal – EVP.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state estate tax regulations and filings.
- Excellent organizational skills for managing complex estate files and deadlines.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with attorneys, clients, and court officials.
- Experience in preparing judicial accountings and supporting litigated estate matters.
- Hybrid work arrangement with onsite presence Monday through Thursday.
