Overview
- Lead research and development efforts for advanced embedded, electro-optical, and electronic systems in a dynamic environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to rapidly evaluate and mature innovative concepts into practical solutions.
- Design, develop, and test hardware prototypes to validate concepts and optimize system performance.
- Analyze system behavior using simulation, modeling, and hands-on investigation to ensure technical feasibility.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions under tight deadlines.
- Generate technical documentation, test reports, and design artifacts to support development activities.
- Contribute to the development of compact, low-SWaP systems with a focus on EMC/EMI mitigation and design best practices.
- Work in a fast-paced environment to tackle new technical challenges and drive innovation.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Conduct research and development for next-generation embedded and electronic systems, ensuring technical excellence.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to evaluate and mature new concepts into functional prototypes.
- Design and execute experiments to validate concepts and reduce technical risks effectively.
- Analyze system performance through simulation, modeling, and prototype testing to optimize designs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges, ensuring timely delivery of solutions.
- Develop and integrate prototypes to demonstrate feasibility and accelerate development cycles.
- Generate concise technical documentation to support research, development, and testing activities.
- Evaluate tradeoffs and make informed engineering decisions in ambiguous situations.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in embedded hardware or advanced electronic product development.
- Proficiency with ECAD tools for schematic capture, simulation, and hardware development.
- Strong expertise in hardware bring-up, integration, debugging, and testing.
- Experience designing mixed-signal electronic systems, preferably in size-constrained applications.
- Ability to work independently and develop solutions in undefined requirements areas.
- Preferred experience in military, aerospace, robotics, or electro-optical technologies.
- Eligibility for top security clearance is mandatory.
