Overview

  • Provide expert paralegal support for employment-based immigration cases in a dynamic legal environment, ensuring compliance and delivering exceptional client service.
  • Prepare and manage visa applications, petitions, and documentation with precision and adherence to legal standards.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and clients to develop effective strategies for complex immigration matters and case resolutions.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare and file employment-based visa applications, including H-1B, L-1, and O visas, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Draft and file I-140 petitions and adjustment of status cases with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Conduct legal research to support case preparation and strategy development for complex immigration matters.
  • Maintain and organize case files, ensuring accuracy and completeness for seamless case management.
  • Communicate with clients to gather necessary documentation and provide timely updates on case progress.
  • Coordinate with government agencies to monitor application statuses and address inquiries effectively.
  • Support attorneys in preparing legal arguments and documentation for successful case outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with immigration laws and regulations in all casework, maintaining high professional standards.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in law, political science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in immigration law; 5+ years preferred for senior-level expertise.
  • Proficiency in preparing and filing employment-based visa applications and petitions with accuracy.
  • Strong understanding of I-140 petitions and adjustment of status processes for effective case handling.
  • Excellent organizational skills for managing case files and documentation efficiently.
  • Effective communication skills for client interactions and team collaboration in a hybrid work setting.
