Overview

  • Lead accounting operations for a dynamic family office managing diverse investment portfolios and multi-entity structures.
  • Drive financial reporting accuracy and compliance across private equity, real estate, and other investments.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize accounting processes and resolve discrepancies.
  • Enhance policies and controls to ensure operational efficiency and regulatory adherence.
  • Mentor and develop accounting staff, fostering professional growth and technical expertise.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives, special projects, and ad hoc financial analyses.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee financial records and reporting for partnerships, operating companies, and trusts.
  • Ensure technical precision in accounting workpapers supporting tax compliance and reporting.
  • Coordinate with fund managers and administrators to reconcile investment accounts.
  • Apply advanced accounting knowledge to complex transactions and investment structures.
  • Act as a liaison between accounting and tax teams to ensure seamless collaboration.
  • Train and mentor staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Support special projects and reporting requests, contributing to organizational goals.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles.
  • Expertise in partnership accounting and managing multi-entity structures.
  • Experience in family office, private equity, real estate, or public accounting settings.
  • Proficiency in reviewing workpapers and coordinating with tax professionals.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Adaptability to a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
  • Preferred experience with Archway and managing accounting for 100+ entities.
