Job Description

Overview

  • Support the launch of a new satellite operation, collaborating closely with the executive team.
  • Handle diverse legal matters, focusing on contracts, documentation, negotiations, and corporate support.
  • Operate in a hybrid work environment, balancing onsite and remote responsibilities.
  • Engage in a fast-paced C-level environment, leveraging strong business judgment and communication skills.
  • Contribute to the growth and development of the operation through proactive legal support.
  • Collaborate with HR and commercial teams on employment and compliance matters.
  • Identify and mitigate legal and regulatory risks across operations.
  • Shape internal legal processes and governance frameworks for the organization.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including NDAs and master service agreements.
  • Develop and maintain contract templates and playbooks for operational efficiency.
  • Advise HR and leadership on employment law and compliance matters.
  • Support the development and review of policies, SOPs, and internal procedures.
  • Identify legal and regulatory risks and recommend practical solutions.
  • Collaborate with commercial teams to structure business-oriented contract terms.
  • Provide guidance on employee relations and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Engage in corporate governance and internal controls as required.

Job Requirements

  • Paralegal certificate, associate’s degree, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 2–6 years of paralegal or legal support experience, preferably in a law firm or in-house setting.
  • Strong experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
  • Working knowledge of employment law and compliance matters.
  • Experience supporting energy, oil & gas, or industrial businesses is preferred.
  • Background in transactional or corporate practice is advantageous.
  • Exposure to multi-state employment environments is desirable.
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.
