Manager, Payer Contracts

Overview

• Lead the oversight and management of payer contracting and revenue integrity functions within the healthcare organization.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to negotiate contracts and ensure alignment with organizational standards.
• Analyze payer proposals and identify opportunities to enhance contract performance and strengthen partnerships.
• Ensure timely renewal and execution of agreements to maintain operational continuity.
• Provide strategic insights and recommendations for contract management improvements.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with payer organizations to support organizational goals.
• Utilize advanced financial software and tools for contract analysis and performance evaluation.
• Support the supervision and development of team members within the payer contracts department.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in economics, business, finance, or healthcare required; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of seven years of experience in hospital or healthcare insurance payer contracting.
• Proven expertise in negotiating and managing payer contracts and analytics.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, hospital billing systems, and financial software tools.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to analyze complex situations and implement effective solutions.
• Knowledge of principles and practices in contract administration and negotiation strategies.
• Physical ability to perform clerical and administrative tasks as required.
