Overview
- Support a boutique accounting practice specializing in entertainment industry clients, handling both individual and corporate accounts.
- Engage in full-cycle accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting.
- Collaborate with HR to reconcile benefits, insurance deductions, and payroll-related transactions.
- Perform detailed financial analysis and reporting to support strategic decision-making.
- Supervise and mentor junior team members, ensuring high-quality output and professional growth.
- Handle bill payments, deposits, and cash management tasks efficiently.
- Contribute to data entry and administrative tasks during peak tax season.
- Work on-site initially, with potential for hybrid flexibility in the future.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and month-end close processes.
- Prepare financial statements and reporting packages on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Reconcile bank accounts and maintain accurate financial records.
- Collaborate with HR to ensure accurate payroll deductions and benefits reconciliation.
- Supervise junior team members and provide mentorship and guidance.
- Perform data entry and support administrative tasks during tax season.
- Assist with ad hoc projects and financial analysis as required.
- Support wire transfers, check runs, and funding-related reconciliations.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in accounting or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in full-cycle accounting operations.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel is essential.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Experience with payroll and HR-related reconciliations is advantageous.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
