Key Responsibilities & Duties

- Lead initiatives to enhance evidence-based practices and improve patient outcomes within the unit.
- Ensure accurate and comprehensive documentation of patient care and medical conditions.
- Educate patients and families on medical conditions, treatments, and care plans to promote understanding and engagement.
- Maintain and promote certifications such as BCLS and ACLS among nursing staff to ensure readiness for critical care scenarios.
- Advocate for continuous improvement and innovation in patient care practices and unit operations.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree in nursing or healthcare administration preferred.
- Current Professional Nursing License (RN) in the state of practice mandatory.
- National certification in a specialty practice area required within six months of hire.
- BCLS certification required; ACLS certification to be obtained within 90 days of hire.
- Minimum two years of nursing experience in a critical care setting; five years preferred.
- One year of supervisory experience in direct patient care activities required.
- Demonstrated proficiency in managing complex cases, including cardiovascular and pulmonary conditions.
- Strong leadership, critical thinking, and communication skills essential for success in this role.
