Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments to ensure readiness for procedures.
  • Maintain sterile environments and adhere to rigorous infection control protocols.
  • Assist surgeons during operations by anticipating needs and providing tools.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to uphold high standards of patient care.
  • Monitor and manage surgical supplies to ensure availability and efficiency.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing training programs.
  • Ensure compliance with AORN standards and hospital protocols.
  • Provide additional patient care support as directed by medical staff.

Job Requirements

  • Unrestricted license to practice as a Surgical Technologist or eligibility to obtain before start.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, obtainable upon hire.
  • Preferred: Two years of recent experience in an operating room setting.
  • Preferred: Certification as a Surgical Technologist (NCCT TS-C or NBSTSA CST).
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
