Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments to ensure readiness for procedures.
- Maintain sterile environments and adhere to rigorous infection control protocols.
- Assist surgeons during operations by anticipating needs and providing tools.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to uphold high standards of patient care.
- Monitor and manage surgical supplies to ensure availability and efficiency.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing training programs.
- Ensure compliance with AORN standards and hospital protocols.
- Provide additional patient care support as directed by medical staff.
Job Requirements
- Unrestricted license to practice as a Surgical Technologist or eligibility to obtain before start.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, obtainable upon hire.
- Preferred: Two years of recent experience in an operating room setting.
- Preferred: Certification as a Surgical Technologist (NCCT TS-C or NBSTSA CST).
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
