Job Description

Overview

  • Lead business development initiatives in the Midwest region, driving growth within the insurance and risk management industry.
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with brokers, consultants, and key decision-makers to expand market presence.
  • Create and manage a robust pipeline of clients, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless client onboarding and satisfaction.
  • Analyze market trends and client needs to present tailored solutions effectively.
  • Develop and execute annual sales plans, incorporating forecasting and strategic planning.
  • Negotiate terms with new clients to establish profitable, long-term partnerships.
  • Achieve or exceed annual sales targets through innovative strategies and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to maximize business opportunities in the assigned territory.
  • Build and sustain relationships with brokers, consultants, and targeted clients to foster business growth.
  • Lead the sales process, including presentations, negotiations, and proposal development, ensuring alignment with client needs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance and legal adherence in all sales activities.
  • Monitor and analyze sales data to track progress and refine strategies as needed.
  • Participate in client implementation processes to ensure seamless onboarding and satisfaction.
  • Travel extensively to meet clients and prospects, building rapport and trust to strengthen relationships.
  • Utilize CRM tools to manage client relationships and track sales activities effectively.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, finance, business, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales or business development; 7 years preferred.
  • Prior experience in claims management, insurance, or risk management is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales goals and driving business growth.
  • Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and CRM tools for data analysis and tracking.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% to meet clients and prospects.
  • High energy and stamina to perform effectively in a dynamic environment.
