Job Description

Overview

  • Lead field operations for diverse commercial construction projects, ensuring safety, quality, and timely completion.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and onsite personnel to maintain project schedules and budgets.
  • Work on projects ranging from renovations to large ground-up developments in various sectors.
  • Ensure adherence to construction plans, specifications, and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers, design teams, and trade partners to resolve field issues.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Document daily reports, track progress, and coordinate inspections with local officials.
  • Proactively identify and solve construction challenges to optimize project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Oversee daily field operations from project initiation to closeout, ensuring smooth execution.
  • Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and onsite personnel to maintain project schedules and budgets.
  • Enforce site safety standards and conduct regular safety meetings to ensure compliance.
  • Coordinate inspections, communicate with local officials, and ensure quality control.
  • Lead weekly subcontractor coordination meetings and maintain project records.
  • Track progress, document daily reports, and proactively address construction challenges.
  • Collaborate with project managers to resolve field issues and maintain project budgets.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, design teams, and trade partners.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; additional certifications like OSHA 30 preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction.
  • Proficiency in construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, or Microsoft Office.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, drawings, and specifications.
  • Experience managing ground-up and renovation projects across various sectors.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Stable work history and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Preferred experience in commercial, retail, industrial, or healthcare construction projects.
