Overview
- Provide expertise in benefits administration and leave of absence programs for a dynamic organization.
- Support both office/professional employees and craft employees in navigating benefits and accommodations.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local mandates for benefits and leave programs.
- Collaborate with HR teams to address inquiries and provide subject matter expertise.
- Contribute to employee education initiatives, enhancing understanding of benefit plans and policies.
- Participate in open enrollment preparation and manage increased LOA/ADA requests.
- Engage in financial operations such as funding requests and reconciliation processes.
- Work on-site to provide direct support and ensure seamless operations.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Administer health and welfare programs including medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans.
- Manage leave of absence and job accommodation programs, ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Provide consultation to employees and managers on benefits and LOA/ADA inquiries.
- Monitor compliance with federal and multi-state regulations for benefits programs.
- Facilitate funding requests, reconciliation processes, and audits for financial operations.
- Deliver monthly webinars to educate employees on benefit plans and policies.
- Collaborate with HR teams to enhance operational efficiency and employee satisfaction.
- Prepare for open enrollment and manage increased requests for leave and accommodations.
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required; certifications such as SHRM-CP/SCP preferred.
- Fluency in Spanish and English, with the ability to explain complex policies clearly.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in benefits administration; 4 years preferred.
- Experience with federal, state, and local leave laws, including ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, and ACA.
- Proficiency in Workday and Google Suite; strong data analysis and reconciliation skills.
- Ability to manage high volumes of LOA/ADA cases independently and under tight deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on effective communication and collaboration.
- Commitment to discretion and integrity in handling sensitive employee information.
