Assistant Fund Controller

Overview

• Serve as a key member of the finance team, managing fund operations and reporting for a closed-end fund.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards while optimizing fund performance.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Oversee fund accounting and reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Manage audits and liaise with external auditors to ensure compliance.
• Develop and implement financial strategies to optimize fund performance.
• Monitor regulatory changes and ensure adherence to relevant standards.
• Prepare detailed financial reports for stakeholders and management.
• Collaborate with investment teams to align financial operations with strategic goals.
• Lead process improvement projects to enhance operational efficiency.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in fund management or finance roles.
• Preferred 12 years of experience in senior finance positions.
• Strong knowledge of closed-end fund operations and regulations.
• Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams and projects.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in financial software and tools relevant to fund management.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
