Overview

  • Lead strategic fund accounting operations, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and alignment with organizational goals in a dynamic, client-focused environment.
  • Drive client relationships, providing expert guidance on fund accounting principles and fostering long-term partnerships.
  • Oversee audits, tax filings, and financial reporting, maintaining regulatory compliance and operational excellence.
  • Mentor and manage teams, cultivating a collaborative culture and driving professional growth.
  • Enhance processes through stakeholder collaboration, ensuring agility and sustainability in a global landscape.
  • Utilize advanced expertise to deliver high-quality services to alternative investment clients.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Serve as the primary client lead, building strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Guide teams to deliver timely, accurate fund accounting services and operational improvements.
  • Oversee financial audits, tax filings, and NAV reporting, ensuring compliance and precision.
  • Manage onboarding, budgeting, and advisory services to align with client expectations.
  • Contribute to leadership initiatives, supervising direct reports and fostering team development.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to refine processes and drive operational efficiency.
  • Leverage expertise in alternative investments to provide exceptional client services.
  • Promote sustainability and diversity through active participation in organizational programs.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Accounting; CPA certification preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in alternative investment management, including hedge funds and private equity.
  • Proficiency in fund accounting, compliance, and financial reporting processes.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills to manage multiple engagements effectively.
  • Familiarity with accounting tools like QuickBooks, NetSuite, and Sage.
  • Commitment to ESG and diversity initiatives within the organization.
  • Exceptional communication skills to foster client relationships and team collaboration.
  • Experience mentoring teams and driving operational success in a hybrid work environment.
